Why Only The US Could Start This War
For anyone reading this, I’d like to place a small disclaimer that the title statement is ONLY for North Korea and the US. Any wars that could break out otherwise are up in the air, as with Trump’s recent decision to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel will surely have its consequences.
A short history of North Korea; North Korea had lost a 50-year war with its partner South Korea. The society of North Korea has been somewhat reminiscent of a camp full of inmates who aren’t very well taken care of. There are people constantly starving and dying, and Kim’s treatment of his people is known all over the world. A country in such a sorry state would be asking for death to start such a war and you’d be right about that thought. Kim’s army can’t handle going up against the South, how could he possibly hope to win a war with the US?
What is Kim doing here exactly with these constant threats? He’s trying to trick Trump into attacking first. If this were to happen there is a high probability that China would have to come to the defense as their territory links to North Korea and any nuclear strikes would affect them as well. Beijing has also stated they will help if Washington makes the first strike. If Kim were to strike first however, he would be on his own. The President Xi Jinping has made this statement on several occasions.
It’s still completely unclear if North Korea even has the capability of truly striking the US as a recent statement from South Korean President Moon Jae-in said:
“whether the communist nation has in fact built nuclear weapons, let alone perfected its missile technology.”
What Kim has been trying to do this entire time is coax Trump into launching the first strike. Some sources have said that in that move, not only would there be retaliation from Beijing and possibly escalate to China and even Russia, but the possibility of undermining America’s relations with South Korea and Japan. Possibly giving him leverage and more power, which seems to be all he wants in the end.

After a recent test sending a missile into outer orbit, and the obvious certainty that they do in fact possess nuclear warheads, yeah, the threat's real.
ABN makes a solid point though. They aren't attacking senselessly, the long stall is tactical.
However, reports had come in that there was no guidance system technology and the missile broke up in reentry

why would they strike with a bombs, when they dont have any chance to reach the targets? why would he strike at all, when hes achieving everything, hes the guy who makes america shit their pants when he winks... but most important thing he achieved is the fact that theres no any ‚‚no flying" zone over korea, no bombed schools and hospitals, and no dead civilians. he dont have any reason to escalate anything, except to troll USA like a pro.
In any case, if he really wants to attack, i doubt it would be missiles. hes not stupid at all. i doubt there is cracks in USA missile defence he could exploit
theres no holywood villains in the real world. no stupid or easy opponents whose only motive is ‚‚hating american freedoms".
Sadly, with the nine sanctions being placed on N.K., it is only continuing to hurt the people, not those in power which many wish to stop.
