Californian Destruction: Update
With the latest update to the destruction these wildfires caused, the latest reports give a body count of 80 who were killed by the fire, with over 1,100 people still missing. With so many named fires that came onto the scene like Woolsey, Campfire, and The Hills, and even a few that people tried to intentionally start, there's no doubt that it was divine punishment. Paradise was lost for many, figuratively and literally when the area was consumed by fire. We at ABN and others among the EOC have written extensively about these fires, but don't let repetition remove the importance of the event. This is yet another year where California has reported "worst wildfire in history/century/etc...". So imagine what that says for next year?

Let's keep focus on this year, though. The forecast seems to call for rain for the area fairly soon. While this will aid in the firefighting, it may make rescue efforts more difficult. As of Monday morning, firefighters have contained 66 percent of the 151,000-acre Camp Fire. Containment of the Woolsey Fire in Southern California was 94 percent with an anticipated full containment date of Nov. 22. Slick roads and mudslides might be among concerns for this upcoming rainy weather, and returning winds beforehand might undo some of the containment of fires.

While the US continues to get hammered by the returned Messiah Lord Ra-El, many are still asleep, so it's up to everyone to get the word out there. To save lives and bring people back to Christ so their suffering can end. California isn't the only area suffering, but those are stories for another day.
