Achievement 4 by @thomisin Task : Applying Markdowns

Hello everyone thanks a lot for welcoming me to this great community. If I were to share my experience in the last 1 week that I have been a part of the Steemit community in one word, I will say "Exciting". The platform has been a fun place and has helped me meet new people and join new communities while allowing me to learn and impact at the same time. Thanks to everyone that has made my stay here beautiful, I hope we continue to enjoy our relationship. Today, I will be writing my Achievement 4 post which has to do with applying markdowns. I am to apply at least 5 markdowns to this post so let's get the ball rolling.

First, I must confess that these markdown stylings are beautiful and although they might look a little crude on the editing page, the results are amazing. I previously wrote a post on markdown styling but it was a post explaining different types of markdown styles and when I sent the draft to my mentor @ngoenyi, she made me understand that I am to use the markdown styles in a post and not explain them. So to explain that I understand, and can use the markdowns properly, I will write about my experience on Steemit in a very simple manner.

How It All Began

It was a Sunday afternoon, and I told Mr. Gbenga about wanting to utilize my free time properly and make a living for myself, so when I get to school I can say I have an investment somewhere. He told me about cryptocurrency and then mentioned STEEEMIT. I know him to be very versatile with crypto stuff even though I still do not understand most of what he does, but he told me that if I was going to start from scratch, it would be good to start with Steemit so I can meet friends and understand the crypto space first hand. I thought he was going to tell give me a link or explain more about it to me but he didn't. I kept on asking him for weeks and one day, he sent me a message that he was going to help me talk to a person who would guide me, and he prays that she gives him a good response. Fast forward to few minutes later, he asked me to send a message to a number and that person ended up being @ngoenyi. I sent her a message and she was able to help and explain a few things to me. These things are;

• Account Creation
• Storing Keys Properly
• Writing an Introduction Post
• Participating in the Achievement Posts
• Guiding me on how and what to write.

As a newbie, I was expecting to see a bossy and very timid person who would not have my time or might not be willing to assist me at all times since she would be busy and surely had other things to do

So far, I have had the best experience on Steemit, and I really hope to grow every day. I have been able to meet friendly people like @talktofaith, and @ruthjoe amongst others. When I wrote my first post, I voted for Witness in the community and I voted @pennsif.witness, and @steem.history. Over time I will vote more witnesses as I grow my Steem power and presence in the community.

I am glad to be a part of STEEMIT, I am enjoying the STEEM ride. To conclude, I used a few markdowns styles such as Italic, Headline, Bold, Strikethrough, Justify Text, Aligning text into two cells, Bullet list, and table, and at the end of the post, I added Link to the post, which is the link to my introduction post.
