This is small warning message for the beginners on Steem:
Your posts on Steem are stored on the blockchain. It’s impossible to erase them. After posting, if you click erase or edit, a new version of the post is created on the blockchain but the old one is still on the blockchain somewhere. The blockchain cannot be destroyed because it’s decentralized. That’s also why it cannot be censored.
The blockchain is accessible to everyone, all the time. Even if steemit.com is down, it’s possible to access it with another website since the project is open source.
So think carefully about what you want to share or not before posting.
