THE POSSIBILITY OF FAILURE IN SUCCESS

Lucky's results for the just concluded session (Harmattan and Rain Semester) was delayed till a few weeks ago when it was pasted. Lucky had the highest number of A's as compared to other students in the class and he wore a joyful face all along.
This article would have been limited to students only, but since the concept and principle of success is applicable to all fields of life, it cuts across the academics, professional and any other field you can think of that records success in activities.
You see, in the world of today, it is believed that dwelling so much on your past failure can bring about failure, but just like I have always observed and realized, I have once again observed and realized that even dwelling so much on your past success births the POSSIBILITY OF FAILURE IN SUCCESS.
The theme might seem ironical or look like an oxymoron, but I tell you that, there is a possibility!
Had it been Lucky had dwelt so much on his success of the past session, these things are inevitable:
• complacency
• unwillingness to study
• pride, amongst the host of many others.
Many wonder how and why complacency, unwillingness to study and pride can bring about failure. In case you do not know; a complacent being is that fellow who is satisfied with his or her current state and has no desire to decor more success; unwillingness to study (even outside the confines of education) limits one to the knowledge of the past and makes one fail as a result of the ignorance of the current; pride is a vice I hate with the whole of me and it brings about failure.
"When PRIDE cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly (HUMBLE) is wisdom." - Proverbs 11:2 (KJV).
Simply put, pride is the mother of foolishness.
The past and present success should be an avenue to draw out the secrets or principles of success engraved in it which birthed the successes.
In conclusion, there is a greater possibility of failure in success when it is dwelt on for so long a time. Move out and strive for a fresh success. Lucky's A's might be 70, 73, 75, 77 or 80. It is said and believed that A is A, but I make bold to say that a fellow with 85 A is knowledgeable than that of 70 A. Think about it!
