TwinForge Land and You

Welcome to TwinForge

This post is meant to be a beginners guide to the land that makes up the world of TwinForge.

Land Types

To start off there are 4 main types of land with harvestable wild resources:

  • Forest - Trees, foraging plants, insects
  • Stripped - Sand, clay, stone, ore, gems
  • Water - Fish,freshwater,sea life
  • Grass - Herbs, insects, flowers, topsoil

Land is divided up in the world in blocks.
nature,buildings,towns,cities all revolve around blocks and block lots which are fractions of a block of land

first we will show whats required for the big areas

a single city of maximum size is 81 blocks(90msq) or a 9x9 grid of blocks most cities will likely start as small as a town and over time grow to an average size of 20-30 blocks leaving the rest for large amounts of harvesting in a sustainable way.

a single town of maximum size is 9 blocks(30msq) or a 3x3 grid of blocks however most towns within the game can fit within 1-3 blocks leaving the rest of the land around it to be harvestable by the players in the town in a sustainable way.

a single block of land is 10 meters square and can house a single large sized building

now onto the smaller areas you can build within a block.

a block can be split into 2 different sizes

a quarter plot which is 1/4th of a block(5msq) can house a single medium sized building or up to
4 small buildings

a small plot which is 1/16th of a block(2.5msq) can house a single small sized building

the world can be broken down even farther for placement of items within the world as well as sectioning off animals and planting crops/growing trees however for the purposes of this guide we wont go any smaller.

players will be able to purchase land,reserve large amounts of land for future purchases as well as buying building blueprints and select resources that can be grown and help maintain a healthy piece of land.

land,land reservations and building blueprints will also generate a weekly stipend of in game currency called Marks(has no monetary value outside the game) to further your expansion or honing yours skills in many crafts,harvesting materials,or traveling to new places in the world.

by buying land you will have the ability once the game is in a playable state(currently in early development) to harvest materials that may already be growing/buried within the ground,build homes/buildings for business,grow crops,trees,or even raise livestock all of which will be in the form of a game asset token that you can buy/sell with other players for ingame currency or steem through a marketplace ingame or through the dex on steem-engine for steempegged tokens(that can be converted to steem)

if this interests you then please follow this account as in the very near future we will be holding our 1st fundraiser to TwinForge where steem donations will allow people to receive as gifts the 1st game asset tokens for land using custom tokens by Steem-Engine.

this fundraiser will help pay for not only the beginning development of the prototype automated version of the game but also the website it will be hosted on, future game asset tokens and the artwork for the website/game.

the initial donation gifts will be limited and will be handed out on a 1st come 1st serve basis.

the smallest donation for land will need to be $5 sbd for a small plot

we will also be gifting 3 tiers of lifetime subscription tokens starting at $10 sbd

Your project sounds very interesting. I would like to know who is behind @grid9games? How many devs are you and what is your goal for a working game like this?
It sounds to me like a classic farming game but all assets are on the Steem Blockchain. Will this game have interactive gaming experience or will it be only text and picture based?
