How to Create a Virtual “Bridge Gate” on Your Website and Generate Revenue:

Blogging is nothing new. In fact it’s extremely difficult to set yourself apart from the sea of individuals already blogging and even tougher to generate income from blogging alone.

Advertising Programs

When pay per click advertising first gold rushed onto the virtual scene, the income was extremely lucrative, but now it’s become very minimal. The gold has been pretty much sucked dry out of all the advertising programs out there, but there are some still tried and true oldie, but goodies. For instance, Google has Google Adsense (https://www.google.com/adsense/start/how-it-works/#/), which pays per click. Translation: This just means Google will pay you to place ads on your blog or website. If a reader clicks on the ads you choose to feature on your blog then, you'll get a certain percentage. Bing, Yahoo, Amazon all have similar advertising programs also worthy of trying.

Another make it rain option is affiliate marketing. What is affiliate marketing you ask? Affiliate marketing is a partnership you forge with advertisers by mentioning their product(s), service(s), or whatever the affiliate marketing partnership offers. By doing so, your affiliate marketing partner will give you a certain percentage of income based off of the product(s) or the service(s) they offer.

A great tip I picked up from Mashable.com (http://mashable.com/2013/02/09/monetize-affiliate-marketing/#rycRHiND2gqO), is integrating keywords as links into your blog’s post, which briefly mentions your affiliate marketing partner's brand or product. When your readers click on that particular keyword, the reader is directed over to the affiliate marketer's website. For example, if your affiliate marketing partner sells books then, the books should not overshadow your post, but the books should be a highlight in your post, which is linked to your affiliate marketer's brand. Worth looking into are affiliate marketing partnerships offered by Uber, Amazon, and Ebay.

This is a great way to generate income if you are looking for extra splurging cash, but like my last post advised don’t put your eggs all in one basket (feel free to refer back to my pervious post: https://steemit.com/new/@whileoutsanch/how-to-create-a-blog-independently-and-generate-revenue)

While, in some cases you may not be able to retire anytime soon off of these two methods, advertising programs are great platforms to create virtual traffic jams on your blog’s or website.

Digital Content

As I previously mentioned, all the veteran bloggers are aware of the advertising programs, the competition is not easy and if you're arriving at the party late, its kind of difficult for you to stand out. So, with that in mind, another kick ass method of increasing some bitcoins, is selling digital content on your blog or website. Digital content, is content you can place on your blog or website, that your readers can purchase via downloadable material. Quick examples, ebooks, magazines, PDFs, or templates and just about anything else you can think of, that relates to your blog). One reader who purchased this material from your site may find the downloadable to be 'a can’t live without' and direct other readers to visit your blog and drive even more traffic to your website.

Search Engine Optimization

All the major search engines will allow you to submit your URL to their search engines. This will also drive traffic to your website and it may not provide a steady stream of cash flow overnight, but the traffic can open a door for other opportunities, which could include and not limited to guest blogging, collaborations with big brands, or a more steady and stable stream of income. Trust me, it’s not easy to get your website on the top of search engine results, especially when you’re competing against some big corporations.

Buttons (Lots of them)

Finally, last but not least, accepting donations by adding a button to your blog or website. Most of these buttons include PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and many more. Remember the possibilities are endless.
