Use love as a bridge❤💞

Yesterday my son asked me if the parents who hit or punished their children loved them....

What a tough question.

Love does not harm, does not hurt, does not wound. Love always protects, cares, comforts. But there are many humans who have been "badly loved", who have been raised from deep emotional wounds and who do not know healthy expressions of affection, therefore do not know how to offer it. There are too many hurt adults who justify blows, insults and mistreatment as character builders, who think that disciplining with violence and rudeness generates "good humans, professionals, successful adults from the material point of view" who in reality are submerged in internal pain, insecurities and fears.

One is taught to love and respect by being loved and respected.

Most parents (unfortunately I cannot say all) love their children unconditionally, but many have difficulty expressing it in a mentally and emotionally healthy way. We must use love as a bridge of connection first with our inner child in order to make a healthy link with our offspring and perpetuate that well being in future generations.
