New to Steemit

Hello! My name is Stefan and I am new to this website. I found it in a blog about cryptocurrency. It said that I can exchange Steemit(not sure what the exact name of this currency is) for Bitcoins. I hope it is true because I am looking for a way to earn my first Bitcoin. I am also planning to invest in it. This website seems kind of hard to use but maybe it is because I am new here.
