Government shutdown

It begins today when the government is shut down.

If the government continues to be shutdown as so the American federal  workers would have to take a leave of absence. Say goodbye to the postal service and the air traffic control.

Sen. Chuck Schumer on meeting with Pres. Trump amid looming shutdown: "We made some progress, but we still have a good number of disagreements. The discussions will continue."

Democrats have been saying today, over and over, that the government has never shut down when one political party controlled the White House and both houses of Congress. This isn't true: There were three shutdowns under President Jimmy Carter, with Democrats running both chambers.
