Hazel Pinto, Girlfriend of the musician, pointed out that the military did not give her the food or clothes that her family sent her.

Wuilly Arteaga's mother, better known as the violinist of the protests against Nicolás Maduro, was able to see him this Sunday in the 433 Detachment of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) in El Paraíso, where he was kept in detention.

The information was released by the executive director of the Venezuelan Penal Forum, Alfredo Romero, who denounced on Saturday that the young musician remained deprived of liberty with little real support from the people.

The lawyer invited the Venezuelans to place ads in the vehicles and in the humanity of each one, demanding the freedom of Wuilly Artega and all the political prisoners.

Wuilly Artega was arrested on July 27 while playing the violin on Libertador Avenue in Caracas. He was then transferred to the GNB Detachment 433 and there he was a victim of cruel treatment: he burned his hair with a tinderbox and a blow affected his hearing in his right ear.

On July 30th, he was brought before the 31st Control Court in Caracas and was charged for public instigation and possession of incendiary substances. The Public Prosecutor's Office granted him bail, but will remain in prison until the process is completed, which usually takes about 40 days.

The executive director of the Criminal Forum explained that the bail in Venezuela is not a payment, but a guarantor (a person to be present), and already the guarantors were consigned.

The violinist has been a recurring victim of repression by the military. On May 24, the GNB broke his violin during a protest and on July 22, he was injured in the face at a demonstration in Altamira, Chacao municipality of Miranda state.

The exdefensora del Pueblo, Gabriela Ramírez, revealed that Arteaga wears the same clothes with which she was apprehended, because they have not been allowed to change her.

Wuilly Arteaga: I'm going to recover on the street, doing my work for Venezuela

This Sunday, violinist Wuilly Arteaga, from an activity of the Student Movement and the NGO Criminal Forum, called "Path to Freedom", spoke about the beating he received yesterday during an anti-government protest in Bello Campo.

On his injuries he said he will recover on the street since "there is no time to lie down," he said.

"Yesterday I was hurt for protesting again with my violin, just for playing. They are so upset by this kind of protest because they are afraid that the world will see that they are the violent ones. They have tried to frighten us, to frighten us, but yesterday I realized that they could not do it and they will not be able to do it, they will not be able to do it, "said Arteaga, according to La Patilla's review.

He added that the strength of Venezuelans, students and parents who have lost their children, is indescribable.

"We can not allow anyone to extinguish that force, we have to be very clear that difficult times are coming. Next week is crucial in this fight, "he said.

In this vein, Arteaga spoke out against some kind of negotiation that does not take into account the political prisoners and those fallen in these 114 days of protests.

"We want a negotiation that focuses on a change of government, a change of system, the release of political prisoners and transparent elections," he said.

Wuilly Arteaga accompanies with his violin protest against the government in Chacao

The violinist Wuilly Arteaga arrived on Tuesday at the anti-government protest that takes place on Francisco de Miranda Avenue, at the height of the Chacao subway station in Caracas, to accompany the demonstration with his violin.

The musician began to play in the middle of the avenue and also in the sand mountain with which the demonstrators closed the street.

From early hours, citizens blocked the avenue and its streets nearby as a measure of protest against the government of Nicolás Maduro.

The vehicular passage in this sector was restricted after the demonstrators unfolded ribbons and poured a hill of earth with a truck.

"To Wuilly Arteaga the GNB broke the violin in the head"

Hazel Pinto, the musician's girlfriend, said the military did not give her the food or clothes her family sends her

Since July 27, the notes of the national anthem played by the violinist Wuilly Arteaga ceased to sound in the protests against the government of Nicolas Maduro. Since that date he has been detained in a detachment of the Bolivarian National Guard in El Paraíso because the courts that are handling the case have refused to receive the guarantors who will be held responsible for paying the bail.

Hazel Pinto, girlfriend of the violinist, who accompanied him at the demonstrations playing clarinet, said that Arteaga has been subjected to cruel treatment, to the point that make him think that his family abandoned him: "They do not give him food or clothes, Make him think that we disagreed with him and that is not true. The last time he spoke to his mother, he told him that he only consume food when the other prisoners - also detained in the protests - share some of their plate.

He also noted that he was beaten by the military: "Wuilly broke the violin on his head and broke his right ear, since he has had hearing problems."

However, he said that the musician "has not lost hope and has faith that he will be released in a short time to continue supporting the demonstrations with his music."

Pinto reported that to date have not been unveiled the evidence that proves that Arteaga is guilty of crimes of public instigation and arson of incendiaries. "These charges are used by Maduro's regime to silence dissent. Let the world know: the violin is not an incendiary object and the music does not instigate the crime ".

During the visiting days they only allow a relative and his lawyer to share with him alone for a lapse of 10 minutes.
