RE: 13/12/16 AMD release info on First 8cores 16 threads Zen “RYZEN” CPUs Detailed – 8 Cores 3.4Ghz+, 16 threads & Auto Overclocking With “XFR”

in #new8 years ago

I have always been an AMD fanboy. Last time Intel got my money was when MMX first came out. I may not always have the fastest processor but at least I didn't have to spend a ton and overclocking always had nice room even with air cooled. This new tech sure sounds exciting, learning prefetch sounds really good.

yes is very important in multitasking like a sound or even video recording studio or to servers!

usually amd cores used to be actually faster and even more with oc
I think I saw FX going to 4.7ghz pretty stable on air cooling

but intel divides the core into 2 treads... for each core or more since p4ht... with is very nice to home (not so gaming or high demanding performance for real...

now amd also has a resembling technology
but this seems "smarter"...
wonder how far this amd zen can go !?

if it want to keep up with upcoming xeon
he has to go fast like more than 5ghz maybe...

more about that and more including graphics in the following next posts ;)
thanks
