How does a computer virus work?

in #new7 years ago

A computer virus works in the same way as a biological virus: it attacks the host and from there begins to infect the other components to increase its range. Basically, the virus is hidden in a program or document and is released when those files are executed. Computer viruses emerged in the 70s, as a way to sabotage programmers, but ended up becoming a lucrative criminal activity.

TYPES OF COMPUTER VIRUSES

--A backdoor virus attack opens an access door to the machine, so that it can be controlled from a distance. In this way, it is possible to access networks and systems and even steal data.

--Trojan / btonet type viruses hide to steal passwords and data. Small companies are the main objectives, but it is also common to steal profiles in online games, because these include virtual goods that are worth real money.

--The famous "Trojan" viruses work causing several havoc on the computer and end up erasing the hard drive.

--Other computer viruses turn computers into spies. Camouflaged, these capture screens, record conversations and even turn on the webcam without us noticing it.
