Dead Matter

Yes, I know... "another zombie apocalypse survival game". But If you enjoy the genre then you should take a closer look at this one because it might be worth it.

As stated on both the Indiegogo and KickStarter page of the game:

Dead Matter is a true sandbox survival horror. Players will fight to survive in a zombie-packed, post-apocalyptic world that fosters whichever play-style fits you best. Settle down and defend your home from outside threats with an expansive crafting and barricading system, cultivate and live off the land, or branch out, explore, and scavenge whatever vehicles, weapons, and food you may find in a zombie-plagued Alberta - alone, or with your friends.

Dead Matter is being developed by Quantum Integrity Software Inc., a small studio from Calgary, Canada. It started as a mode for Crysis 2 back in 2013 but has turned into an entire project from scratch. It's currently on Indiegogo and KickStarter if you're interested in funding the project as well as getting early access to the closed alpha version. They also plan to bring the game to Steam Early Access after the closed testing is done.
