Greetings...

My name is Alejandra, but I absolutely hate being called that because it is way too long. I prefer being referred to as Ale. I am 20 years old, and currently attending college. I reside in El Paso, which borders right next to Ciudad Juarez (Mexico). Naturally I speak Spanish. I don't know how do describe myself exactly; I like sports, but I also love makeup and girly things, but I'm also a total nerd that geeks out to books, Tv Shows and practically anything. I also enjoy testing out products, as well as reviewing them.
As my first post I am very nervous as to what to write, how to address people. This type of platform is very new to me, so hang on while I catch on to this.
One of my favorite things to do is spend time exploring nature as well as taking pictures. (Mind the fact that I have terrible allergies, so being outside and connecting with nature is a bit of a problem.) I am captivated by poetry. I have come to look at the world so differently throughout the years, I have noticed that there is beauty EVERYWHERE you look.

This is one of my favorite poems from Milk and Honey, I just feel so connected to it. And I feel this is something many of us experience at one point. Whether with a significant other, a best friend, a pet, or most importantly yourself, once we truly learn to love ourselves and our flaws,...we all find comfort in someone and realize that all those days of hurt are over, that we have found our true happiness.

I am a very open minded person, I believe that we are all equal, I'm a feminist and liberal. I believe that there is still some good in this world. I believe in what many have given up on believing, because frankly the only thing that we really own in this world is our beliefs, our hopes, and our dreams.
