I Love Books

I am very fond of reading books. Therefore, i spend much of my spare time in the college library. I sit there for hours, read books and avail myself of the great world scholars. Sometimes i wonder why most of the students do not visit the library and why it remains deserted. if the students become fond of reading, our country would makes progress by leaps and bounds.

Books are great blessings. They are the essence of man's experience of centuries. They are such a precious legacy that civilization has bestowed upon man. They are the source of knowledge and power. They give us information on every matter and enlighten our soul. They are more valuable than wealth. They are our best friends which do not leave us in the lurch; rather strengthen our nerves.

They teach us how to overpower the difficulties with patience and perseverance. They teach us to be sober and serious during the times of joy and comfort. One should be very careful about the selection of books.

Some books are more dangerous than a scorpion and more poisonous than a snake. One must avoid them.
