What is P2P (Peer to Peer) Network?
PEER TO PEER NETWORK:
P2P stands for Peer to Peer Network. In this type of network "Peer" are computer systems which are connected to other computer systems through internet. Files can be share directly in this network without the need of central server. You can say that every computer system in this Peer to Peer network act as a file server as well as client.
Computer system required internet connection and a P2P software for joining Peer to Peer network. Following are common P2P software named as Bearshare, WinMX, Winny, Share, Morpheus, Limewire, Azureus, Bittorrent and Utorrent etc. These softwares connect to P2P network such as "Gnutella" , which allows the computer system to connect with thousands of computers systems on P2P network.
When computer system connects to Peer to Peer network, P2P software allows computer system to search files on other computer systems on the network, as like other computer system can also search files on your computer system but only one folder which you can allow to be shared on the network.
