Safari park visit in the Netherlands

Today I visited a Safari Park in the Netherlands. It is quite a special thing. At first you might think that it is just another zoo, and that is in part true. You can walk around and see animals. But, you also notice that they have way more space than they normally do in a zoo. This feels more like a wildlife park in which they have much more territory.

Then you notice that the safari park has its own water on which you can do a boat ride that will last for approximately 20 minutes. During the ride you can even listen to a guide telling you about the surrounding, though it is only in Dutch, meaning that tourists will not understand much of what's going on.

After walking around for some hours you might be ready for a very cool thing that makes this quite special. Jump in your car and go on a car safari in which you can drive with your car next to all those precious animals. So, just a few hours ago I was driving next to a cheetah, that felt special. Then I saw lots of other animals. In the end it was even more fun as a girafee decided to stand and eat in the middle of the safari trip road. This caused a tiny delay, especially for one of the cars in front of us as the giraffe decided to place the food on the front part of their car and then eat it from there. It lasted for minutes and as we drove up next to the car they were just laughing inside... that must have been quite the experience!

All in all, the Beekse Bergen safari park was a cool experience! :)
