DC Universe is coming! We are fully involved in Comic-Con 2018 in San Diego and DC has given new data on its streaming service that wants to become the Netflix of the superheroes.

DC Universe (which could have already chosen a different name so as not to confuse it with DC's own universe) was presented a few months ago as a streaming video application that, in addition to original films and series, will give us the possibility to enjoy comic books in digital format.

In Comic-Con we have learned that Titans (the series of which we already have the first trailer) and Stargirl will be two of the productions that will be in the catalogue, but they have also confirmed the launch framework and the price of the subscription to DC Universe.

The DC Universe service will compete directly against Netflix and its''alliance'' with Marvel to create content. It will be an interesting fight to see who gets the audience niche that only wants to see superhero series, as both companies, it seems, are betting and will bet on more unknown heroes.
Here are all the details of DC Universe that we know so far.
DC Universe series and films

In addition to Titans, the DC Universe service will be released with different films like the ones below:

Saga of Superman, from I to IV.
Supergirl.
Batman, by Tim Burton.
Barman Returns.
Batman Forever.
The Dark Knight trilogy.
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.
stargirl

There will also be series, most of which are planned for 2019, such as the following ones:

Doom.
The Swamp Thing.
Stargirl.
Harley Quinn.
Young Justice: Outsiders.
Wonder Woman.
Lois & Clark: The new adventures of Superman.
Batman: The animated series.

In addition, it is hoped that with this new service, DC will provide the content platform on a regular basis to maintain subscriptions, and not only will we live on video content, we will also have a digital comic book library that will be very useful in some of the devices where DC Universe will be located.

Supported Devices

The DC Universe application will be available in multiple devices. On the desktop, we can enjoy Chromecast, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV, as well as on desktop computers.
On mobile phones it will be available on iOS and Android, so we can take the comics with us away from home. Nothing has yet been said about console applications, but if the service succeeds, it would not be uncommon to see the app on Xbox One and PS4.

Launch and pricing of DC Universe
The DC Universe streaming film and series service will be launched this fall in the United States. We still don't know when it will arrive in Spain, but we do know the price.

The monthly subscription will be $7.99 and the annual subscription will be $74.99.We'll see how they justify the subscription, but it seems that DC wants to add new comics and content every day. Of course, they have plenty of artwork.
