This is just a simple question as i am having a discussion with someone as i didn't get the option of taking the next card and the dealer auto took an ace and won

i.e. The dealer only has 1 card... so the dealer gets the next card.
It should have been face-down though, and then you should get the option of drawing another card or staying.

I play poker and Black Jack allot.
The player and Dealer both must have 2 cards each before the second round starts. The player is always dealt first.
First Card: Player
Second Card: Dealer
Third Card: Player
Fourth Card: Face Down to Dealer
That's the end of the first round and then player can either Hit or stand. Dealer than shows its face down card and normally stays on 17+ and hits on everything else.
