Alimentando patos - Feeding ducks

Después de una agobiante jornada, después de retirar de la escuela a mi hija decidimos ir al parque a tomar un poco de aire fresco entre tan inmensa arboleda.

After an overwhelming day, after withdrawing my daughter from school, we decided to go to the park to get some fresh air in such an immense grove.

Fue una tarde de juegos y caminatas, entre otras actividades. El parque es un muy lindo espacio donde hay dos grande espacios de juegos para niños, separados uno del otro de unos doscientos metros y separados por un arroyo que atraviesa el parque y un lago artificial en donde se puede andar en vote o bien alimentar a los patos que habitan la isla que hay en el interior del lago.

It was an afternoon of games and walks, among other activities. The park is a very nice space where there are two large playgrounds for children, separated from each other about two hundred meters and separated by a stream that crosses the park and an artificial lake where you can vote or feed the ducks that inhabit the island inside the lake.

Esta es una muy linda actividad donde los niños suelen quedar maravillados con los patos que se acercan casi hasta poder tocarlos en busca de algún alimento. Generalmente la gente le suele tirar algún cereal liviano que flotre en el agua o bien galletas trituradas o trozos de pan.

This is a very nice activity where children are often amazed by the ducks that approach almost until they can touch them in search of some food. Usually people usually throw some light cereal that floats in the water or crushed cookies or pieces of bread.

Ante tal ofrecimiento los patos se acercan rapidamente en una carrera para ver quien se hace del mayor botín. Los patos de mayor tamaño generalmente son los que más rápidos se desplazan y suelen hechar a los más pequeños. En ese momento es cuando entramos en complicidad con mi hija y nos separamos unos metros para poder alimentar también a los más pequeños.

Faced with this offer, the ducks quickly approach a race to see who gets the biggest booty. The larger ducks are usually the fastest ones that move and usually make the smallest. At that time is when we enter into complicity with my daughter and we separate a few meters to be able to also feed the little ones.

Como es de esperar mi niña prefiere alimentar a los más pequeños y me sugiere alejarme para que todos puedan comer al menos una porción de lo que les llevamos.

As expected, my girl prefers to feed the little ones and suggests me to move away so that everyone can eat at least a portion of what we take.

Por suerte el día de hoy fuimos con muchas galletas y muchos de los patos se terminaron retirando por haber saciado su apetito. Otros no corrieron la misma suerte y quedaron merodeando incluso cuando se nos había terminado el alimento que llevamos.

Luckily today we went with many cookies and many of the ducks ended up withdrawing for having satiated their appetite. Others did not suffer the same fate and were hanging around even when we had run out of the food we had.

Otra linda tarde compartida, otra jornada en la que forjamos recuerdos de lindos momentos compartidos, que espero perdure por mucho tiempo en su corazón y el día que sea madre haga lo mismo con sus hijos.

Another beautiful afternoon shared, another day in which we forge memories of beautiful moments shared, which I hope will last for a long time in your heart and the day you are a mother do the same with your children.

Por mi parte más allá del lindo día que compartimos y de lo lindo que se siente poder disfrutar de pequeñas cosas, me transporta a tiempos muy lindos de la vida, donde ni las preocupaciones ni las responsabilidades agobiaban mi mente.

For my part beyond the beautiful day we share and how beautiful it feels to be able to enjoy small things, it transports me to very beautiful times of life, where neither worries nor responsibilities overwhelmed my mind.
