Oh boy! I cannot but agree with you 100%. Guess what though? Keeping a mental tally of people who owe you one is way more common than you can imagine. People rarely give except when it would somehow be beneficial either in the short or long term. It is the human default mode. Despite knowing all that though, I must say It isnt easy to live selflessly all the time and your punchline said it all
