Now a second nervous time is coming

My boy and I are home again. He has passed the anesthetic well, very stable. What was removed was quite large, larger than what the vet could have felt when he was here. It is now sent to the lab, and depending on the carcinoma or adenoma result, the statistics for Rowan are favorable or not. Research showed that Rowan also has an enlarged lymph node at his left back knee that he did not have last week.

This can be a reaction to what has now been taken away and to withdraw again. This could also be a metastasis in the case of a carcinoma.

The veterinarian has not touched the nerve and sphincter, so Rowan is unlikely to be incontinent, but that should also appear in the near future. And it is also possible that he turns out to be temporarily incontinent, but that it will change in the coming four weeks.

In the coming days, we must ensure that his stools remain soft because he is not allowed to press hard. Now he is dazed by the anesthesia at my feet, and upset. He whines softly from time to time but that seems to be an additional "something" of the kind of anesthetic he has had. From tomorrow pain relief and antibiotics again and in about 10 days the vet will come home for the follow-up check.

Fingers crossed for the good of my sweetheart ... I don't want to lose him yet! We can't miss each other yet.
