Docta: How do we launch our Blockchain project without ICO?
Docta.io, educational project that runs on Blockchain NEM. In this article I tell you how we are thinking about changing the online educational ecosystem in the Blockchain theme, but I want to share further because we chose a non-traditional way to finance a crypto project: Bootstrapping.
What is Docta?
Docta is a Cordoba cryptocurrency for academic use. The objective of the currency is to value knowledge and encourage the study and research of Blockchain technology, the use of cryptocurrencies and new decentralized networks such as Bitcoin.
In the platform we will join all the courses related to crypto, taking care of authors' rights in Blockchain. Some courses are free and more advanced is paid in the currency Docta, which is obtained by exchanging content on the social site blockchain.org.
Docta is a social project and a cryptocurrency to encourage the creation of knowledge and to finance education in these technologies. It is a community-driven project that aims to add value, equity and equality for all people who want to acquire knowledge about Blockchain and who do not have the financial means to do so.
What is Bootstrapping?
Bootstrapping is launching a project with very little or no external funding. The success of Bootstrapping projects is achieved through the management of limited resources with high efficiency and advanced business processes. Ability to act with few resources is extremely important for Latin America, where venture financing is rare.
Advantages of Bootstrapping:
We will be in a very direct contact with our users, and put all the effort into detecting and satisfying their real needs, mainly in the local academic environment.
It is a low risk compared to venture financing. If we make mistakes, investors' money will not be lost and we will not lose part of the organization.
Limited resources stimulate creativity and innovation, we do not depend on investor opinion, only on the opinion of our direct users, such as universities and educational institutions.
If our model is going to work with few resources, obviously it will be easier to find an investor later.
Docta is our desire to enter into direct dialogue with users who want to learn Blockchain, know their true desires and dreams. We want to test our model not in a laboratory or on paper, making a business plan, but directly in the battlefield (free market).
What does the platform have?
Docta runs in Blockchain of NEM - one of the most complete in the world. For the creation of the wallet we use Nanowallet open source from NEM.
In the ecosystem of Docta they are:
Social Blockchain - Social-Blockchain.org: Platform for the creation and curing of contents and the consumption of knowledge related to Blockchain. It is a project promoted by the community with the aim of adding value to the members of the community and the Social Blockchain network.
Escuela Cripto - escuelacripto.org: is a YouTube and Telegram channel, dedicated to the constant study of the latest news of trading and cryptocurrency markets.
Cordoba Bitcoin Academy - cordobabitcoin.org: Regional node of the Social Blockchain community in Córdoba, which is promoting an academic network called "Academia Bitcoin Córdoba" between universities, and educational institutions of the province of Córdoba to train and teach through courses, workshops, as well as including concepts of blockchain technology, use of cryptocurrencies and decentralized networks such as Bitcoin; within the same degree or postgraduate careers and diploma courses.
ONG Docta: NGO established in Córdoba Argentina, will be the legal entity of the Academia Bitcoin Cordoba in its academic network, will aim to promote the communities of Social Blockchain and its local and international nodes, as well as the institutional support of the Docta cryptocurrency. io
And how do we plan to obtain users?
Everyone knows that attracting users is the most expensive and most difficult for a new project! But here we have an advantage - the united community that follows and supports us. We believe that Blockchain is mutual exchange, so we always think about giving something of value for community. And for launch of Docta we have a surprise prepared.
In partnership with the NEM embassy in Argentina (Fundación NEM.io) in October we are going to hold the University Congress - a series of open talks about Blockchain, which we are going to give in 5 key universities of the city. This activity is completed with advanced training for blockchain developers.
The Training will be dictated by Shin Tatt Wong - master trainer and architect Blockchain, who comes directly from Malaysia.
Some training topics:
Blockchain Architecture NEM
Nodes
Accounts (GET method)
Ads (POST method)
Json objects
Transactions
Namespace
Configurable assets
Multifirm and Co-signature Transactions
The training will culminate with a code session and then Blockchain and a Hackaton. The lectures, training and hackathon will be recorded and uploaded to the Docta platform.
