Coincheck has a good news for its traders who lost money in recent heist, according to an announcement.

The Japanese cryptocurrency exchange has announced that it will reimburse its 260,000 customers $260 million more than the current market value of the stolen coins.

Yusuke Otsuka, Chief Operating Officer of Coincheck Inc., said the company will now start compensating customers at a rate of about 88 yen (US$ 84) for each NEM coin.

NEM coins worth approximately $530 million were stolen from customers’ accounts in January, making it one of the biggest crypto heist ever.

Meanwhile, today’s cryptocurrency market sees NEM gained more than 10% in value over the past 24 hours following Coincheck’s reimbursement  announcement.
