RE: One step forward, two steps backward – should I frog again?

Ahhhh, one of those lovely projects that test the limits of our patience... how I love them :DDDDD

But you know, when I look at those pictures where you are wearing the cardigan, the length seems fine to me. Also, I think I wouldn't be adding any buttons in the front, it sits quite nicely as an open piece.

Well, that neckline needs some work, looks like you'll just have to grit your teeth and breathe deeply... ahhhhh...

I love those squares you are making. What is a bunting?

I think if you used only the pastel colours removing the dark red and dark blue, you might be happier with the whole colour scheme. I find that if I use only pastel colours, I can almost go for any colour combination, they'll never clash... or at least that's how it seems to me :DDD

Sort:

A bunting is a garland. I will connect the squares and try to hang them over our entrance, perhaps similar to this example:
https://elisabethandree.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/work-in-progress-two-tones-squares-and-a-crochet-bunting/
And I followed your lead partially and removed the darker blue square. I will make another red one and a bright yellow one and look if these add a bit of pop together with the pastels.
And the cardigan.. sigh... I guess the neckline is a must. But I am not sure if I will find a way to make the neckline work. Right now my motivation is meagre to work on this cardigan. Perhaps I will try to finish one sleeve and then unravel the neckline.
THank you so much for your help 💕

There's so much experimentation to be done before we get things right! All the best with them :-)
