I posted early about a crochet garland i'm making and showcasing #NeedleWorkMonday

I started Crocheting a few years and have made Dresses, Teddys, Hats, Garlands, Scarfs, Snoods etc. I find it very therapeutic and have bags and bags of wool! These are being made for Christmas.

I often find patterns and use them as a guide but make changes as I go. Really patterns are for inspiration. I struggle to sit still and often multitask so I crochet while listening to an Audiobook or watching TV with my other half. Driving- all sorts!

Here are the instructions on how to do so. They are aimed at Steemians with some crochet knowledge.

I am using DK wool on a 3.5mm Hook.

Abbreviations

SL - Slip Stitch
BLO - Backloop only
DC - Double Crochet
HTR - Half Treble Crochet
TRB- Treble Crochet

Step One

Firstly chain 10-15 depening on the gap you want between each leaf.

Step Two

Chain 6 or 8 or 10 depending on the size leaf you want. This will be the centre vein of the leaf

Step Three

Rotate your hook 180 so that you are working back into the SC you just made.

Step Four

SL in the second stitch from your hook in BLO. Do this for the retrospective leaf size i.e. 6 - 8 - 10

Step Five

Now you are starting one side of the leaf. In this I have used the following
DC, 2 x HTR, TBR, 2 x HTR, DC chain 2

Step Six

Now you are creating the second side of the leaf so work the same as above down the other side but SL back into the chain

You can also use different leaf shapes such as this oak leaf

This is the garland so far. Next some Flowers will be added. I will post a separate post on how to make these

Interesting!

This will be good for some christmas decorations! Thanks for showing how to do it.

yeah you could change the leaves to be holly shaped

There should be 10-12 pictures, and should show the whole product. Now you posted a link to the original post. But I will try for this post. I am not sure if you will get a vote. Thanks for your hardwork. Keep it up.

Also say something about the application of this. How do you use it in everyday life.

I've done some updates = D Thank for all your help and guidance I really appreciate it,

lovely work, upvoted. 😉
