Needleworkmonday: Precious Project in Cross Stitch for the arrival of the baby

in #needleworkmonday6 years ago (edited)

Hello, my friends from Steemit, this time I will share a cross stitch project to honor the arrival of a baby, it is an invitation card for my daughter's baby shower, only it was very original because it is a brand book and with the personal touch of a stork made in cross stitch.

The cross stitch is very simple, although many see it as complicated when you cultivate patience and you love what you do, it becomes a moment of happiness. This is a basic project because the image is very small and many threads are not used, it is ideal for those who want to start in this world.

This style of embroidery is very versatile because you can use it for everything from identifying a cushion to a painting.
What you need to have at hand, are first the design to work, the embroidery fabric, threads according to the color needed, blunt needles and scissors.

Below I will briefly explain how to cross-stitch embroidery.
The cross stitch is formed in two motions. Follow the numbering fig 1 and brig needle up at 1, down at 2, up at 3, down at 4, to complete the stitch. Work horizontal rows of stitch, fig2 wherever possible. Bring thread up at 1, work half of each stitch across the, then complete the stitches on your return.

It is important to embroider with each color, then move on to another and later, culminate with the details according to the design.

This is such a great and unique idea for baby shower invites. They are so cute! How many of these do you have to make? Do you have someone else making them with you?

Thank you for sharing your work with us this week and explaining how cross-stitch works!!

Thanks for your comment. There are 20 invitations, as I love to embroider, all I will do, besides the design is simple and easy to elaborate, which means that I finish it in time.

Wow that’s really neat! It’s so good you enjoy what you’re doing :)

That's awesome work! I can't do anything with a needle except stab myself. Now give me any kind of saw or power tool and I'm in my element and happy!

Hahaha, how funny, Thanks for your comment

Very creative...and a nice keepsake!

If it is a valuable and useful memory, for those who like to read.
