Thank you so much for your feedback. I did feel I had to work a little harder keeping my stitches right with the bulky yarn. I probably should have waited to start with a regular size yarn. I do hope it starts to feel more natural to me because it is still a little awkward.
I still have time when I'm knitting a new pattern for me. at first the hands get used to some time. but then it's easy for me to knit. I'm sure that you will succeed and you will like it. then you will combine knitting and crochet. it looks beautiful on the product.
