NeedleWorkMonday - St. Patrick’s Day Toddler Tie
Happy #NeedleWorkMonday folks! My week has been busy working on a few projects I’ll be sharing with you soon. In the meantime I wanted to join in on the St. Patrick Day crochet fun! @foxyspirit wanted to do a theme for this round in the Ultimate Crochet Contest. I am not officially participating in the contest but wanted to join in and make something green too!
I started making these toddler ties when my first son turned one. He wore it at his first birthday party and looked so handsome! I’ve made one for several of my friends for their newborns as well because they make nice photo props! I like making these because they work up quickly and are pretty easy. They make great festive add ones for any holiday, special occasion or theme.
This one is for my two year old son to wear this year on St. Patrick’s Day. Here are a few process pictures...
Toddler Tie turned Googlyeye! 👀
Well it looks like my son won’t be wearing this one afterall. This little cutie doesn’t plan on leaving. They show up whenever they want and stick around for quite sometime. Besides, how could I tell him to leave? Look at those eyes. I better get to making another one. 🤷🏽♀️
That is too cute!!
I learned to knit when I was about six years old, and I knitted my Dad a tie for his birthday. I have a vivid memory of him happily putting it on and going out to work, lol! (no doubt with an alternative tie in his briefcase).
Thank you! Ha ha that is so funny! I bet that was a good feeling seeing him putting on the tie you made! Thanks so much for stopping by!
It was a good feeling - I was a very proud little six-year-old, haha!
Oh nice :D that tie fit's the eyes so well! Heh... yes, not the other way around :P
Ha ha yes definitely not the other way around! 😜
Thank you! I’m glad you like him!
So cute!!! And I think we have to start to celebrate St. Patricks day. I love all the beautiful green works I saw on @foxyspirit post. Your tie is such a cute idea for small children (and I know what I have to make for my friends son, who will turn twothis summer)
Thank you for this wonderful idea 😍 and I am looking forward to your new projects (am always soooo curious :-D)
Thank you @neumannsalva! Yes there was quite a bit of eye candy in @foxyspirit’s competition this week! It is fun to celebrate, we always do so with our kids and they have a good time wearing something green! 😃
Sure absolutely! They look so cute on little ones! I only wish mine could have modeled it for you all but unfortunately I can’t share their photos any more. Too bad the world is too crazy. 😕
Let me know if you give this a go for your friends son, better yet you HAVE to show us!! 😜
Wonderful! I can picture how cute this would be on a little kiddo.
Thank you for taking part on the fun! I am loving this theme style round. I thought people would hesitate but I got quite a few wonderful styles! Will definitely be hard to judge later this evening <3
Thanks @foxyspirit! Oh it is just adorable on little ones! I wish I could have it modeled but I stopped sharing pics of my kids online, it’s just too dangerous nowadays.
Absolutely! It was fun to join in! This was such a fun theme round, I look forward to participating again!
I was thinking to have one theme per month. Something that has to do with an event happening, like easter, mothers day etc. And the other week it would be regular, anything people want to bring to the contest. I think that sounds like a pretty good idea :)
Yes! LOVE it!! That’s a great idea!! That’s gonna be a lot of fun too because you know us crafters like to get festive for special occasions and holidays! 😃👌🏽
Absolutely! Fun times to come :D
