A Christmas Tree for Needlework Monday

in #needleworkmonday9 years ago

Today on #needleworkmonday I am sharing the Christmas tree I crocheted last year.

The tree, made with yarn, is about 20 inches tall. I used poster board to create a cone into which I punched holes for the lights. The cone helps a great deal to stabilize the tree.

I crocheted the snowflakes from #10 thread.

I enjoy creating and decorating with hand made items at Christmastime. Thanks for looking! 🎄

I have never seen a crocheted tree before!!! This is the cutest! When I first seen it I knew you crocheted the snowflakes but I had no idea you would say you crocheted the tree too! Clever how you added the lights. Very nice work, thanks for sharing! Upped and Steemed! 😊

Thank you! It's a lot easier to put up and take down than the traditional tree!

It's unbelievable! A crochet tree - so much work - you are my crochet hero <3 And the snowflake ornaments are also very beautiful. You inspired me too also write about Christmas ornaments

Thank you! Crochet hero? Maybe I should crochet myself a Super Hero Cape with a giant C on it! Hehe...you are too funny 😄

Yes absolutely, do this :-D And please make photos.... (By the way there was a crochet superhero initiative some time ago and it was so lovely and funny)

A very cute tree. This the first time I have seen one and I'm impressed. I like it because it is small and compact. Easy to put up and take down. And no dropping needles from a real one or dusty artificial ones.

Thanks! It was easy and repetitious to make and I could have kept going but was afraid it would get too wide. I love handmade ornaments! Thanks for upvoting 😀
