Nuggets - T-Wolves Preview/ Win Or Go Home
The Nuggets and Timberwolves will face each other in a play-in game tonight at Target Center. It's amazing that the Timberwolves have reached this point, but now they have a home game to prove they are playoff worthy.
Before the All Star Break, The T-Wolves were a trendy pick to make the second round. The Jimmy Butler injury derailed their season, and it shouldn’t have. Andrew Wiggins might be the biggest disappointment of the season. No improvement year over year, and whispers of him being a poor/disgruntled teammate. They're .500 since the All-Star break and have suffered horrible loss after horrible loss. They lost to the Grizzlies 3 days after The Charlotte Hornets beat Memphis by 60 points!
The Nuggets have floated around the .500 mark all season. They survived the Paul Millsap injury, but were still dead in the water 2 weeks ago, 41-35, sitting in 10th place. The Bucks were about to give them a devastating home loss on April 1’st, and then they erased an 8 point lead in the final minute of the game. Since then they have gone on a 6 game win streak, powered by Jamal Murray, Millsap, & Jokic. Nikola Jokic finished with 15 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists on Monday!
Perhaps both the Wolves and Nuggets are playoff-worthy, but the West was always going to be wild. The Nuggets are the more exciting team in my opinion. Most people would rather see KAT in the playoffs, but I’d rather see Jokic. Unfortunately I don’t think either can compete with the Rockets. The Nuggets are 0-3 vs the Rockets this season, The T-Wolves are 0-4.
Either way tonight’s game will be fun.
Who would you rather see in the playoffs? Denver or Minnesota?
T-Wolves coach Thibodeau is one of the worst in the league in my opinion. There's a lot of talent on that team being poorly utilized. I'd predict a Nuggets road win tonight.
epic battle, but if it comes down to coaching game-time, we'd favor Timberwolves. Malone's minutes allocations still make absolutely zero sense to us, and we don't know how their ownership doesn't see it. The talent on that team is on par with Utah, and look at Utah's 2nd-half record!
That's a though choice. Minnesota has more unrealized potential than Denver, because of that I will support Timberwolves.
