The Minnesota Timberwolves will try to stop the hot Houston Rockets in this entertaining match. Even though the Timberwolves is the team with one of the worst records in the whole league, while Houston Rockets are breaking their limits every single day with the longest streak in the NBA at the moment, I still see Timberwolves having a chance in this one. The match-up is perfect for them and they will have support from the fans.

Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT), Andrew Wiggins, and Zach LaVine in one team does not sound like a losing model. However, Minnesota Timberwolves is a struggling team so far this season with a poor 12-26 record. They are currently 13th in the Western Conference and it looks like it is the stage of the season, when tanking should be considered as an option. Who wouldn't use a high pick in the drafts, right?

I still think that the Timberwolves is the team with super good chances in winning the championship, but maybe not for a couple of years. At the moment they are obviously too young, but just wait till KAT finds his rhythm. With likes of Wiggins and LaVine by his side, Timberwolves will be unstoppable.

Another huge problem is point guard position. It looks like Ricky Rubio is just not right as the main point guard for this team... or any other team in the League, to be honest. A man had such huge prospects while being young, but it looks like they will remain as prospects. Yes, he is good at passing and especially at fast breaks. However, his shooting is beyond terrible and that makes him an anchor in an offensive game. I bet that Timberwolves GMs are looking for a guy to replace him. That will bring that extra push to greatness, in my opinion.

First of all, I have to say that at this very moment the team leaders are Wiggins, LaVine, and KAT. Wiggins is playing perfect season so far, LaVine is 2 times NBA all-stars dunk competition winner (whatever he does, it is always fun to watch), but we need to talk about Kev... Karl.

So, Karl-Anthony Towns was the number 1 pick in 2015-2016 NBA drafts. He is one of the best picks in last 5 years of the drafts, and without any doubts, he will be one of the top 5 players in the world pretty soon. At the age of 21, he is already averaging 21.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. However, those numbers are not enough to show his importance.

This young guy is explosive on both ends of the field. KAT's athleticism is top notch and that allows him to defend any player in the league. He still has some problems to fall for fake moves, but being twice as fast as anyone else on the field, he always finds a way to fix the mistake. Also, he is one of the leading shot blockers in the league.

At the offensive end, KAT is also universal. The guy is 7" tall (2.13m) and shoots from distance without any problems. He is currently 31 percent accurate behind the arc, which might not be the best result, but he is improving steadily.

In the paint, he is quick and he has some good moves in his repertoire. You can even see an old good hook shot while watching KAT's game. Also, the best thing for KAT's improvement is Timberwolves' organization. Kevin Garnett stayed in the team to tutor KAT. Also, Okafor is always here to help with some extra moves as well. So, KAT has everything he needs to become the best. It is all in his hands now.

The Rockets team is getting more and more comfortable in the Western Conference standings. They are currently 3rd with a 3 victories lead over Clippers, and only 1 behind Spurs. Remember - it is the same team, which barely made it to the play-offs last season and was the biggest disappointment of the 2015-2016 season. At the moment, The Rockets team is the biggest surprise of this season. Yup, they just cannot be normal.

The key to victories is an explosive offense and three-point shooting. All the guys shoot three-pointers in this team. Combining that with Harden's ability to drive to the basket, stretch the defense, and find the open man, we get a winning model. I must say that D'Antoni is doing brilliantly so far as a coach, but he is known as an offensive game specialist, so nothing new here.

However, my biggest concern about this team is the defensive game. James Harden might be the best attacker in the world, but his defense is a joke. It looks like half of the time Harden is not even trying and the rest of the time, he does not understand what to do, because he skipped the classes of defensive schemes. That alone is enough to make the Rockets poor at defense, however, other guys are not great as well. So we have what we have - all the games the Rockets team is trying to score more than to concede. It is damn fun to watch..

Latest MVP rankings showed that James Harden is the leading guy to bring it home. One might argue if his personal performance is better than Westbrook's, but no one could ever compare those two teams. Yes, Thunder is playing good, but Rockets team is just spectacular this season. And all of it, because of James Harden.

Harden was switched from shooting guard to point guard during the off-season and it looks like he is comfy with his new role. How comfy? Well, he scores 28 points, grabs 8.2 boards, and adds 11.8 assists per game. I know... freaking amazing. Also, his ability to drive to the basket is quite extraordinary and usually ends up with him scoring or going t the free throw line (that is as good as scoring).

Apart from Harden's poor defensive game which I mentioned before, he also makes 5.8 turnovers per game. That is a little too much. Of course, he has the ball in his hands longer than anyone else in the world, but 5.8 is still unforgettable. The only positive thing in this number is that Harden is trying to make those risky and high rewarding passes to his teammates. However, if you do it, you better succeed.

Apart from that, this year's MVP will be Westbrook or Harden. If you are one of the main contenders for MVP title and your team is performing better than any fan could expect - well, your season is successful.
