What can the warriors do right now to deal with the likelihood that Green will turn down any contract extension offered prior to next season running its course.
Why would he be wanting to do this, they just won a championship?
If Draymond earns any of the following accolades next season:
MVP, Defensive Player of the Year or All-NBA Team honours, he will be eligible for a super-max contract of five years equal to a cool $226 million.
The problem this brings up is that he will then be free to move from Golden State to another team of his choice to earn the kind of money most would only dream of.
Could you trade him to make room for Lebron, as sources have reported he will be meeting with Steve Kerr and his entourage over the coming weeks.
What are your thoughts on the upcoming trade rumours and what we may see happen from July 1st when the team lists start to be shuffled?
