Blake Griffin traded to the Detroit Pistons in a blockbuster deal
The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade Blake Griffin, Brice Johnson and Willie Reed to the Pistons for Avery Bradley, Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, a first and second round pick.
On July 1, Griffin reached an agreement with the Clippers on a five-year $171 million deal. Griffin wanted his legacy to be a Clipper. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer thanked Griffin for his contribution to the franchise.
This season, Griffin is averaging 22.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 33 games for the 25-24 Clippers, who are in ninth place in the Western Conference.
