Pros:
- A physical rebounder. He uses his body well to box out opponents very well
- He has some good fakes under the rim, but is an inefficient finisher. He will get his tipys and lucky rolls for jumpers
- Plays hard team defense (even with a leg out ;) when defending)
- Knows what he can do on the court which is the big bruiser that sets good screens
- Very strong Georgian that cannot be pushed around
- Decent free throw shooter for a big man (77% last year)
- Underrated passer
Con:
- A downgrade defensively from Andrew Bogut, but not a bad defender in general; he’s good at staying vertical and getting his body in front of drivers.
- Not athletic at all (EVER)
- Cannot play above the rim (no lobs to this man)
- Can get burns if he plays against a more skilled big man
This Georgian is a handful for any opposing team's frontline. He will sacrifice his body for the team. He plays hard to his best abilities which is why he fits the Warriors so well. He set bone numbing screens for his teammates and rolls to his sweet spot really well. He is a teammate you want on your team and not someone you want to play against. Zaza is a guy you don't want to mess with on or off the court. Just look at his face, he been in a few brawls in his life I bet coming from Georgia.
The roster only needs guys who can contribute without the basketball. They have 4 guys (Klay, Steph, KD, and Draymond) who can make plays for others already. If the ball finds itself in one of the non 4 guys all they have to do is pass to one of the 4 guys, or just shoot it. I am pleased to have him back on the team as he will do enough to get the team solid on the frontline standpoint.
