Tatum leads the Celtics and crushed Philly on opening night

The long awaited NBA season has now arrived and what a way to open it with the classic Philly and Celtics rivalry. It also happened to be a rematch of last season's playoff series but with the addition of Boston's two all-star players in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. Although Irving and Hayword doesn't perform quite well the Celtics still manage to over power the 76ers where their young and upcoming star in Tatum leads with 23 points and 9 boards to beat their foe 105 to 87.

Celtics depth really showed up as five of their players recorded double figures, and two solid players off the bench in Morris and Rozier combined with 27 points and 18 rebounds to keep the pace rolling for Boston. Hayward managed to contribute on defense to overlap his offensive shortcomings by snatching 4 balls that helped them somehow limit's 76ers under 90.

Despite a super all-around performance from Ben Simmons who played incredibly well by logging 19 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 blocks and 2 steals they still fell short maybe due to their 16 turnovers with how sloppy the game was from the beginning. Embiid somehow put up a double double but it's not how we quite expect from him considering it is a season opener

But really the take away of the match is how well and confident Jayson Tatum performed on the basketball court, could it be a breakout season for him? Looks like Tatum training under Kobe Bryant just this summer seems to be fruitful.
