#13 NBA Basketball Surprises Week 13 ( Haas News)

in #nba7 years ago (edited)

The best NBA performances weekly! Its Sunday and like every Sunday it’s time to discuss the NBA surprises.

This is post number 13 already again, so bad luck for some teams? But also some great performances by players you might not expect in this list. Today we celebrate some winning streaks and teams that are making a strong play-off push (OKC, Philadelphia). One player showed some strong play even though being on a losing team. Let’s find out together?
Here is my top 5 for the week!

T.J. McConnell
Every team needs a floor general, the one that really helps the coach on the field. That’s why my childhood hero is John Stockton! A no-nonsense player that leads by example, is McConnell a John Stockton? Of course he won’t be a hall of famer or an all-star is the league, but he really helps the coach.
The 76ers won 3 straight beating great teams like the Celtics, Raptors and Bucks. And right now, they are the 6th seed in the East. Will they make the play-offs after all the harsh years? Yes I do believe so.
T.J scored 18,15 and 11 points this week and really helped the team win. He also dished out a total of 17 assist this week. A great no-nonsense type of player to have on your team.

Patrick Patterson
We all know I love the Raptors and therefore also former Raptors players, I need to be careful and make sure I stay objective with my weekly picks.
The Thunder struggled to get use to each other in the beginning of the season and lost some more games than expected. There even were trade rumors stating that they had to trade some players in order to get the right chemistry. And look at them now, being the 5th seed in the West and I looks like everybody found their role. Carmelo Anthony is let dominant and Paul George is just killing it. So there is more than enough offensive power, but what about defense? Roberson is great but please don’t underestimate Patrick Patterson.
He is stretching the floor to create the space the stars need, he was 3of4 on 3pointers against the Kings to make sure his team could come back from 15 points behind to win the game. And his defense is just key to the balance of the team.
Did you see them play the Cavs? Scoring 76 in the first! Great play OKC.

Pat Connaughton
To be honest I did not really pay attention to his play for a long time, the Blazers are all about Lillard and CJ McCollum right?
Not really, they have a very fun and loud home crowd and In the 6th seed in the West, can you do that with only two players? Don’t think so.
This week Connaughton proved a point, if you give him minutes he will provide! Scoring 18 in the loss against the Wolves and 6 points in all the 3 wins to have a strong week this week.

Anthony Davis
The All-star weekend is just around the corner and he will be there for sure! The only question there is who would pick him? Lebron or Curry.
We all know how great Davis is but this week he just had to be on the list showing such impressive numbers. Scoring 48! In the overtime win against the Knicks and the next game 45! Are you kidding me!?

“48 and 45 points this week!”

Evan Fournier
The Magic started strong but by now they just suck, being 5-20 on the road and 2-8 on the last ten games. They have talent, but it looks like they just don’t connect, I therefore expect some trades before the deadline and just focus on next year!
This week they almost beat the Cavs and they did beat Minnesota mostly because of Even Fournier. Scoring a career high 32 and chipped in 17 against the Cavs. He shoots almost 40% on 3pointers and is dishing out close to 3 assists! Keep it up

This post has received gratitude of 0.65 % from @appreciator thanks to: @heyitshaas.

Lou Williams has been pretty sick over the past week or two.

Thanks for stopping by! hope you enjoyed my post, do post about the NBA every Sunday. Lou is playing so well

I followed you, I'll look forward to the next NBA post you write!

Watched TJ McConnell when he was at the University of Arizona. Never thought he would have this good of an NBA career. NEVER!

@heyitshaas You seem to use a fair amount of upvote bots and things like @minnowsupport and @booster. Can you recommend which ones are the best. Like top 3?

IF your account is not really big yet, i would suggest Booster and Randowhale, if its not sleeping. The others ask for a bigger bid to participate.

Anthony Davis is rumored to be traded to the cavs

That would be Crazy!
