#12 NBA Basketball Surprises Week 12 ( Haas News)

in #nba7 years ago (edited)

The best NBA performances weekly! Its Sunday and like every Sunday it’s time to discuss the NBA surprises. We all know the households names in the NBA and they are getting the big dollars but every team needs the perfect balance in order to have a chance to win the title. By now some teams are almost sure they won’t make it to the play-offs now that the season is half way.
Other teams are very happy with some players they have that help them to push for the play-offs, here are my surprises of the week.

Here is my top 5 for the week!

Daniel Thies
Many players of the Boston Celtics made it to this list already, I really like what they are doing and am impressed by how they still compete without Haywards. Many players stepped up in order to have a 34-10 record. I really think this year things could be different in the East. Boston and Toronto are really looking good and the Cavs not so much until now.

This week I want to nominate Daniel Thies, a player I never heard of before this season. He played together with Dennis Schroder in Germany and won multiple German Championships! And by now he is a respected role player on a good team. Averaging around 7 points and 8 rebounds for the week. Extending his teams winning streak to 7. Great work Celtics!

Bam Adebayo
The Heat are doing just fine, they are 4th in the East don’t have many star players but they play great team Basketball. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games and are currently on a 6 game winning streak, where will this end?
They were able to win some close games this week, beating Toronto and Utah by one point and winning against the Pacers.

Bam Adebayo played one season at Kentucky and is showing he is ready and adapted to the NBA level.
He was taken 14th overall in last year’s draft and put up averages of 12 points and 7 rebounds this week. He already is a great backup to Whiteside and is more than ready to show his potential.

Lou Williams
We all know the Clippers lost Paul and they probably don’t expect to make it to the play-offs this year also because the injuries they are facing, but look at them half way through the season they are just one win away from being the 8th seed in the West!

Let me please introduce to you the first back-to back weekly Haaspick player of the week, Lou Williams!
His play last week was great but this week the stadium announcer had to pronouncer his name even more.
So please vote on him so he can be an all-star this year! That’s the level he plays on right now. Scoring 23, 34,50,30 and 26 points this week. 50? Yes 50! Against the Golden State Warriors, he was just putting up a show. LOU! LOU! LOU! The people just love him right now.

Larry Nance Jr
The Lakers have talent and wont some big free agents badly in order to compete at the level they came a custom to.
The Lakers won 4 in a row and things look normal again after the turbulent week of the court with rumors the players were not impressed with Luke Walton, I think Walton is great and it’s just gossip because we are in Hollywood!

This week the Lakers beat the Kings, Spurs and Dallas is overtime and Nance Jr was playing great. Scoring in double figures in most games and grabbing 8 rebounds per contest.

Tyes Jones
What happens when Lebron James calls you “Tyler Jones” you get blocked first but later in the contest you dunk on him! So next time he remembers your name.

We all know the household names of the Timberwolves; Butler, Wiggins, Towns. Crawford and Teague but this week Tyes Jones made the list!
He starts when Teague is injured and is on the bench when Teague is playing, he knows his role. Scoring around 7 points for the week.
Well done and keep up the hard work.

Lou Williams is locking up that 6th man of the year award!

He is great! loved him on the Raptors as well, really feel he should be an All-Star this year.

He is going up on an article I am writing, talking about that very fact!

Lou Williams is definitely a threat offensively.
