Assuming everybody on the Philly roster stays healthy, how does the situation in Philadelphia look to you?
Did the Sixers completely overpay?
I think the Sixers can be a playoff team this season.
76ers are making the playoffs this year is what I think. Maybe even a 4 seed
For sure!!! I am thinking the exact same thing.
Massive overpayment. If we really wanted him, which we don't, woulda make him take some risk by offering him $23mm over 3 years-- make Redick bet on the Sixers youngsters-- fully invested. As it is, what kind of veteran presence is a guy who's flitted around the NBA looking for max dollars and pre-rigged playoff contention. Want veteran presence, keep somebody around long enough to build it. Russell Westbrook is veteran presence. He's loyal to a fault, plays his ass off on both sides of court to exhaustion, and is the obvious leader of the team able to just stare at youngsters like a momma lion with her cubs to keep them in line.
Well tell me how you really feel! Hahaha yes I was pretty surprised it was for 23 million too. Let's hope he does better than we predict. I think he's an ok signing just not for that much money.
great post dadapizza! keep it up! and thanks again for following!
Thanks steemking! Love the positivity from you! No problem
I like the signing! The 76ers have lots of cap space and they've added a veteran to the team. I also like that it is only a one year deal.
Yes I also liked seeing it was a one year deal very safe decision. Colangelo seems very smart
$23 MILLION for ONE YEAR!!!! Crazy money but an even crazier gamble on himself that he stays healthy as most guys his age are looking for long term deals to secure the future. He may be waiting out to see what Lebron does and put himslef in the pool of available players when the time comes.
That is an interesting way to put it I agree. He is a solid role player since everybody shoots the three nowadays. A lot of teams will want him. He has a good reputation in the league so as long as he doesn't get injured
