Suns Trade Guard Eric Bledsoe to Bucks for Greg Monroe, 2018 1st and 2nd Round Picks

Two weeks after Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe voiced his displeasure with the Phoenix Suns organization, he will find himself on his way to a new destination. According to NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Suns have traded Bledsoe to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for big man Greg Monroe, a lottery protected 1st Round pick in 2018 and a protected 2nd round pick in 2018.

The deal proves that the Bucks are all in on making a deep run in a weakened Eastern Conference alongside MVP-frontrunner Giannis Antetokounmpo. Bledsoe gives Milwaukee a veteran point guard who could potentially fill starters minutes on a young Bucks team.

Acquiring Bledsoe without having to give up any of their core young players makes this trade a great move for the Bucks. Moving Monroe helps the Bucks with their spacing problems, but does hurt their financial future as Monroe's $18 Million contract is set to expire following this season.

For the Suns, trading Bledsoe was a must. While the haul of Monroe and a couple late draft picks isn't the most ideal, it was likely the best move on the table. With Bledsoe's value diminishing with each passing day, the Suns needed to pull the trigger on a deal quickly. Milwaukee became an immediate target for Bledsoe as they needed a veteran ball-handler that fit their defensive scheme. Bledsoe provides all of that and should immediately impact this young Bucks squad. It might take a few weeks for Bledsoe to get back into game shape and to be ready to play starter's minutes, but he will provide a jolt this Bucks team has been in desperate need of.

I think Phoenix got a decent package for Bledsoe. The Bucks aren't a lottery team anymore so it'll be a mid-late first round pick.

From the Bucks perspective, itll be interesting to see how Bledsoe will mesh with team. However they decide to integrate him, itll be temporary until Jabari Parker is healthy again. Mix and matching all those skills we be a real puzzle for Jason Kidd but overall I think the Bucks will be top 5 in the East (along with and in no order Boston, Washington, Cleveland, and Toronto)

Yea I think the deal worked pretty well for both sides. I like that Milwaukee stays extremely long with the deal. I'm not sure Jason Kidd is the best guy to coach this team though...
