Jungle Daily - Vines and Vanilla
The vines that fill the jungle all around are quite spectacular! They grow thick and tall as the tallest trees, disappearing from view into the heights of the top storey of the forest.
This below is a vanilla flower. Vanilla is also a vine. The vine has to be three and a half years old before flowers start to appear. The delicious vanilla perfume and flavoring that you love in cakes, ice cream and so many sweet dishes and exotic perfumes comes from the pods of this vine. It is a type of orchid. The seed pods develop after the flowers get pollinated. I shall be very happy to see pods developing as vanilla is a real favourites of mine.

Wow, how lucky that you will be able to harvest your own vanilla pods from the wild. Not many people can say they've done that!
I hope they pollinate themselves and turn to pods, it will indeed be extraordinarily lucky if I can pick a pod later on, fingers are crossed. 😉🌈

No actually these are all taken at ground level just pointed upwards. The vanilla flowers are just a foot from the ground so not zoomed in at all.
