NATURE PHOTO CONTEST WEEK #8 - TEXTURES THURSDAY

This is my entry into the Textures Thursday Nature Photo Contest run by @shadalene.

This is a close up shot of a bee hive frame. They've built this wax onto a plastic foundation board and yes that is indeed honey in the center. We removed this one from the hive, they had only build out a small portion of it, we were replacing the plastic foundation boards with wax foundation boards. They much prefer the wax, it's more natural to them. We've found they build out and fill the comb on wax much faster than they do on plastic.

So here's my texture. And if I can just point out... how remarkable are bees! Look at how perfectly build those cells are!! Perfectly shaped, super thin, perfect edges, perfect corners... how do they do that! remarkable creatures!! : )

So beauitful! I love that you picked this for texture!

Thank you! Looking at too many photos like this can start doing weird things to your eyes but I thought it was too cool not to share : ) This one you can see all the different heights of the cells which is really cool but it can even more eye bending, lol.

Oh my goodness! It's like looking at those 3-D pictures, ya know the ones where you let your eyes go out of focus and an object appears? Haha Pretty amazing!

Hahaaa, yes... if you look at it long enough it certainly has the same effect on your eyes! : )
