This is my entry into the TEXTURES THURSDAY Nature Photo Contest run by @shadalene.

This photo was taken at Elliot Heads, a small picturesque seaside town in Queensland, Australia. It is here where the river meets the sea and on low tide you're left with these glorious tidal patterns in the sand. Great for photographing but not for walking on. The sand is really hard and compact so as you walk over the grooves, it really hurts!
