The Araguaney was declared the national tree of Venezuela between the years 1940-1950. It can reach between 6 and 12 meters high, its growth is very slow but it is a tree of long duration, it is a very strong plant and has the gift of growing in almost any soil even in soils that have very low organic material.
Nature lovers often wait for the time of year when the seeds fall to pick them up and plant them throughout the city.
