An evening with nearby nature
The Nandur Madhmeshwar Bird Sanctuary may be found in the Nashik district of Western Maharashtra, specifically in the Niphad Tehsil.
Between the years 1907 and 1913, a stone pick-up weir was constructed over the Godavari River at Nandur Madhameshwar, which is located directly below the junction of the Kodwa and Goadavari rivers.
There are a variety of birds that call this place home, including the Black Ibis, Spot Bills, Teals, Little Grabe, Cormorants, Egrets, Herons, Stork, Kites, Vultures, Buzzards, Harriers, Osprey, Quails, Patridges, Eagles, Water Hens, Sand Pipe, Swifts, Grey Hornbill, Peafowl, and many others.
Several temples can be seen in close proximity to the Nandur Madhmeshwar Bird Sanctuary. The green forest trees and the fluttering birds all around the Nandur Madhmeshwar lake water reservoir present the observer with an absolutely magnificent glimpse of Maharashtra's biodiversity.
