Volcanoes are classified into two sources of the eruption, namely (1)the eruption Center, exit through the main vent eruptions; and (2) the side eruptions, the eruption out of the body; (3) the eruption of gap, the eruption that appears on cracks/fault can be elongated up to several kilometers; (4) the eccentric eruptions, the eruption of magmacoming out of the side but not from the distorted Center kepundan to the side but instead directly from the Chamber through its own kepundan. 

 In Aceh, there are currently three five volcano that is currently still active that is stated; Mount Seulawah, Aceh Besar is in Mt. Bur Ni Telong in Bener Meriah Peuet Sague, a mountain located in Pidie, Aceh, Mount Merapi lauser in Southeast aceh. and the volcano jaboi in sabang.Below are the 5 volcanoes active stated from the center of Volcanology and geological hazard mitigation, Indonesia. and sorted by big volcano. 

 1. Seulawah Agam Aceh Volcano

ERUPTIVE HISTORY

During the 19th and 20th the Seulawah Agam, g. did not indicate theeruption activity means, some volcanic activity recorded is as follows:

1600 this year might have been an eruption of parasites (Sapper, 1927)

1839 on 12 and 13 January freatik eruption at Crater Heutsz (Volz,1912)

1975 December 16 and August 21, sounding ROAR and smoke out of g. Seulawah Agam.

Until now not seen an increase in activity or an eruption in g. Seulawah Agam

ERUPTIVE HISTORY

Based on existing data, g. Bur Ni Telong ever increased its activities or erupt at:

1837 late September occurred several eruptions and earthquakes that cause a lot of damage (Wichmann, 1904). Neuman van fields (1951) is considered as a normal eruption of the crater Center.

1839 Wichmann (1904), the eruption occurred March 12.13 date with ash eruptions reach p. We

1856 14 April eruption from the Central crater (Neuman van Padang,1951) dimuntahkannya material in the form of ash and rock.

1919 Neuman van fields (1951) wrote that in December the normal eruption from the Central crater.

1924 7 December, appear to smoke pole 5 pieces without followed syatu Eruption (Neuman van Padang,1951)

 3.  Puet Sague Aceh Volcano

Peuet Sague is a volcano located in Meureudu sub-district , Pidie regency, Aceh province, the area of Sigli. This towering mountain compound with four peaks. This mountain has an elevation of 2780 mdpl with geographical position are on 4 0 – 0 55 1/2 South latitude and 96 0– 20 0 East longitude. Details can be seen below:

ERUPTIVE HISTORY

From some previous writings include report Explorer soldiers kompeni, Kemmerling (1921), Stehn (1923), Tichlman (1933) and Neuman van fields (1951) wrote about the activities of g. Peut Sague, but from some of the writing is not known to what extent the level of activity of the volcano.

In March, from a distance it appears the pillar of smoke soar accompanied ray of fire, came from the Western and Eastern parts of the crater.

May, the Netherlands Army Patrol saw plumes of smoke that accompanied the sound of rumbling and a torrent of burning coals.

December, from a distance it looks on the part of the crater to the West and Northwest of the existence of the guguran lava accompaniedblowing smoke, sometimes explosive sound.

1979 10 February, the Government reported that Kindergarten Area II g. Peut Sague issued fire and ROAR (Kompas Sunday, March 1979).

beginning in 1998, the report of a Garuda airline pilots through the Banda Aceh – Medan stated that there have been eruptions in g. PeutSague with smoke reaching altitudes of approximately 3 km, with black smoke.

 4. Lauser Aceh Volcano

Mount Leuser with an altitude of 3,404 m is the highest mountain in Aceh, Indonesia. Mount Leuser located in Southeast Aceh, close to the border with North Sumatra Province.

Mount Leuser is located in Gunung Leuser National Park that takes the name of the mountain is as his name. While the Gunung Leuser National Park and the surrounding area known as the Leuser ecosystem which became a UNESCO World Heritage site. Not a lot of information about volcanoes in lauser.

 5. Merapi Jaboi Kota Sabang Volcano

Volcanoes in sabang is very small but still worth a visit. Go to Jaboi and turn left after passing through the village and follow the road until it can't go up even higher. You need to walk along 200 metres of footpaths that lead to the right. Might be a little difficult to find the line, so just follow the smell of sulfur from the volcano.

The mountain volcano in the town of sabang also declared active. but not in the status of alert or dangerous. However, his name is also natural, good, suddenly will erupting, so we must still be alert if at any time the mountain was raging.
