Above the Clouds - Bovški Gamsovec mountain hiking in Slovenia
In 2015 a very good friend of mine and I went on a hike in Slovenia, just a few miles away from the Austrian border.
It was a grey and rainy day when we started, yet this turned out to be one of the greatest tours we had ever made.
Clouds beneath us made for an incredible view.
On our way up, we didn't have any view at all.
The man behind the camera (most of the time). I hope he joins steemit soon.
When we reached the top @ ~2350 above sea level, the sun finally came out.
There were some minor climbing passages...
And of course a handstand picture had to be taken.
I highly recommend the routes surrounding Bovški Gamsovec, they are well marked with only very few people on the trails and an incredible mountain-scape.

Haha, yeah we had lot of fun climbing, jumping etc. That's always the best part, when you have done most of the exhausting climbing/hiking stuff and are rewarded with a great view and opportunities to just enjoy the scenery like a patch of grass to lay down and relax or some great rocks to boulder for a little bit.
