SUMMER GLORY DWARF EUCALYPTUS
I was walkng my dogs the other day, and I noticed this beautiful dwarf Eucalyptus in my neighbours garden, so I quickly took a couple of photos. The flowers looked like the most perfect little pink powder puffs, and I thought the gum nuts were equally as beautiful.
The gumnut is the woody fruit of the Eucalyptus tree, otherwise known in Australia as Gum Trees. There are hundreds of types of Eucalyptus trees in Australia, and there are a lot of dwarf varieties available these days, that are perfect for the smaller garden.
The leaves had a beautiful weeping look about them, and you are guaranteed to get lots of native birds with the beautiful pompom style flowers that are filled with nectar.

So pretty but so invasive in my country. I remember playing with those flowers as a kid
Oh really, I wouldn't have thought you would have them there. This is a cute little dwarf version, which is becoming more popular for people wanting natives in there gardens that aren't too out of control.
Beautiful flowers. So you have a dog and cat, what kind of breed is the dog ?
We have two dogs, they are brothers and they are cavoodles. They are beautiful boys, great family dogs.
I love gumnuts, the look so pretty.
Love the smell of eucalyptus too, especially during winter time or when feeling unwell.
