Daffodils in January!
I'm so happy Saturday finally got here!
I walked out into my backyard with my cup of coffee into a sunny January Day in North Texas and discovered several of my daffodils are already blooming!
We have had a warm winter; so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised!
We did have some nights where the temp dipped below freezing just this past week.
I had a long full week with substituting in a school 4 days in a row and in addition to that I take a niece to her workplace so I'm constantly on the go during the week!
So happy I was able to slow down today and spy my daffodils!
Have a Blessed Day!

Lovely you had such pretty yellow daffodils blooming, Violet. Glad you are having a warm winter...not so much here on PEI. 😊 U&R
You are lucky with a warm winter. I, every day it snows, which I already tired to clean
I wish we had daffodils here. I'll trade you for the blizzard :-)
That is so cheery! Here in Ottawa, it's the coldest part of the winter and temperatures will go as low as -13°F with a rare high of 32°F next weekend.
Yikes, I know many people experience a real winter! It seems so strange that everyone else north of Texas seems to be having a very cold winter! Stay warm and good luck with your freezing cold days! Maybe you can feel sorry for me when we have our 100 degree days this summer. I definitely don't enjoy those days!
I have been in Texas in that weather, and yes, I feel sorry for you too! lol
These flowers always want to be the first to appear, even when winter wants to stick around. :-)
That is really incredible! We are stuck between 10 and 15 degrees here in Michigan lol.
I would never survive the winters in Michigan! So sorry! I've lived in Texas my whole life! Hope you all get some sunshine at least!
8 inches of fresh snow on the way tomorrow :( Maybe I will get a video out of it.
Now, I would love to see that! I love watching snow fall because mostly we only get 3-4" if we ever get snow and then it usually melts that day or the next or when we were in Colorado on vacation skiing several different winters I could enjoy watching it snow and somebody else plowed the roads and cleared off the sidewalks. :)
These are beautiful! Your season is so far ahead of ours here in Michigan. We are looking at record low temperatures here this week. We haven't had temperatures this low since 1996 according to what I have read.
Oh my goodness! Good luck with that and stay warm. We are supposed to have a cold front push through the Dallas Fort Worth area Tuesday. I guess we are getting the tail end of the storm that you all will be getting!
Amazing! I think I am little but jealous, lol 😊🌹
Nice surprise in your backyard! I have been noticing some early signs of spring around here also
I'm sure you are seeing some signs!
Una linda especie de flor, algo extraña, @violetmed.
